Meet the Authors
Valerie Mechling is a martial arts instructor and author of The Tales of the Seventh Empire trilogy. Her solo novel "Traitor Defiant" was a quarterfinalist for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel award in 2009. She lives in the mountains of Colorado with her husband, James, their three sons, and one fur child.
Besides world-building and co-authoring The Tales of the Seventh Empire, Samuel Stubbs enjoys designing games and graphics to go with them. Sam is a lifelong student of languages and cultures. He learned to speak Malay while living in Southeast Asia for two years--an opportunity he cherished. Sam lives in Utah with his wife Ashley, their four children, and cat who goes by "Kitty."
